Professor Dover assumed the position of Dean of the Buckingham Business School and     Professor of Marketing at the University of Buckingham two years ago after serving for     the previous five years as Faculty Director at the School of Executive Education,       Babson College (USA). Babson College, located in Wellesley, Massachusetts, has just been ranked 9th in the world as a provider of executive education by the Financial Times. It is also ranked as the foremost School in the world for Entrepreneurial Studies. He continues to conduct custom executive education programmes on strategic management and marketing topics for leading multinational companies while offering open enrolment programmes on such topics as Strategic Alliances and Services Management. He pursues an active consultancy practice in the areas of strategic business planning and corporate entrepreneurship, mainly within technology-based enterprises

Professor Dover’s academic interests lie in the management of high technology products, entrepreneurial management, strategic market planning, and services marketing. He is currently involved in a research programme on the design and development of Customer Solutions while completing a book on the international marketing of high technology products and services.

After marketing management positions with British Petroleum and Nestlé, Professor Dover taught at the Amos Tuck School (Dartmouth) and IMD (Switzerland). In his role as Dean of the Buckingham Business School he has set a goal of revitalising the curriculum, initially introducing a new Bachelor’s degree in Business Enterprise (in which students start and run their own businesses) and a series of new, specialist Master’s programmes (Accounting and Finance; International Marketing Management; Innovative Computing; Business in Society). He also intends to establish Centres of Excellence in the fields of Entrepreneurial Studies and Service Management.
